2014 Chess Camp Schedule

  

Children are immersed in the magical world of chess during our camps.  Campers learn from our chess masters and professional teachers.  Their chess knowledge and skill will grow quickly.

Hinsdale Chess Camp, at The Community House: June 9 -13, 2014

Ages 6-14

Join us for our highly popular annual summer chess camp in Hinsdale.

Campers will receive master chess instructions from U.S. Chess Federation and World Chess Federation (FIDE) Masters, all of whom have vast experience in teaching chess to children.  Our instructors will lead students through various activities, including tournaments, blitz chess, lectures, bughouse chess, and game analysis.  The instructors will cover openings, endgames, tactics, and strategies.  Games of the masters and the games of the campers will be analyzed.  Campers will be placed in groups according to age and ability level.  We will have physical activity, including soccer and basketball everyday.  Campers must bring a bag lunch daily.

MAIL-IN CAMP REGISTRATION

Wheaton Chess Camp, : June 9 -13, 2014

Campers will receive master chess instructions from U.S. Chess Federation and World Chess Federation (FIDE) Masters, including Nikola Mitkov and St. Michael alumni and nationallyk ranked high school players Max Zinski and Nate Kranjc .  Our instructors will lead students through various activities, including tournaments, blitz chess, lectures, bughouse chess, and game analysis.  The instructors will cover openings, endgames, tactics, and strategies.  Games of the masters and the games of the campers will be analyzed.  Campers will be placed in groups according to age and ability level.  K-8th grade students welcome.

We will have physical activity everyday.  Campers must bring a bag lunch daily.
